encounters of the singaporean kind

you know when you're back in singapore.
bak chor mee + me
we reached singapore at 3ish in the AM and by the time we got our baggages, we were ready for grub cos there's no dinner on budget airlines. SO, my bro took us for bak chor mee. We reached there, ordered 2 bowls of bak chor mee + 1 bowl of pork chop mee, 1 barley and 1 lime drink.
obviously im super excited. food + the AM = unnaturally high.
our drinks come.
then, a few minutes after the waitress comes up to us and says:
'mei you rou shui le' (no more minced meat)
ok, so we changed our order to fried meat balls
a minute later, she returns and tells us:
'mei you mian le' (no more noodles)
so, we paid for the drinks, drank it up and left.
o.O
customer service
i was shopping around for a prepaid card and since we reached home at about 5am and tired, i didn't have time to do any research on which telco was best to get the card from. plus, we had to wake up and rush to church so after service i thought I'd just get from telco1. we went to the shop and tried to talk to the dude at the store. it was pretty hard.
us: excuse me?
guy: ya? (turns back to personal laptop)
us: do you sell prepaid cards?
guy: ya, there.(turns back to personal laptop)
us: ok how much is it?
guy: 18 dollars. (turns back to personal laptop)
us: how much credit does it have for $18?
guy: 18 dollars, there (points to paper in glass & turns back to personal laptop)
well, you can imagine how the rest of the conversation went, haha. in the end, we left, still clueless and went to the other telco store around the area and got my prepaid.
welcome back to singapore, indeed (:
